US pianist and singer who was part of the first generation of pianists who developed the boogie-woogie piano style. His nickname ‘Cow Cow’ came from his most popular song ‘Cow Cow Blues’ from 1928 which is most definitely a boogie-woogie tune. If you’ve heard the song ‘Mess Around’ by Ray Charles this track will sound very familiar.
